Since its inception in 2010, CineMaker has fostered a culture of collaboration and mutual learning. When some members stepped away for professional opportunities, a vacuum emerged, prompting the need for fresh talents. In response, CineMaker opened its doors to a group of novices, providing hands-on workshops across various departments to train and empower the next generation of filmmakers.
In 2016, this initiative blossomed into what we now proudly call CinePeeth—a name that reflects our commitment to creating a “place to learn.” The first workshop was conducted by the esteemed Dutch filmmaker Clémentine Ederveen, marking the beginning of a new era of structured learning. Since then, CinePeeth has organized numerous workshops covering diverse topics such as screenwriting, animation, editing basics, film philosophy, and the nuances of slow cinema. Countless discussions on a variety of subjects have enriched the learning experience, inspiring many novices to prepare for their debut films, with promises from CineMaker to produce their projects.
